How to Copy a Playlist From iPhone to iTunes

1. Connect your iPhone to your computer using the provided dock connection cable. Launch the iTunes application on your computer if it does not launch automatically.
2. Right-click the name of the playlist you want to copy from your iPhone and click "Export." Playlists are listed beneath the name of your iPhone under the Devices heading in iTunes.
3. Enter a name for your playlist in the “Save As” field.
4. Select a save location from the “Where” drop-down menu.
5. Click “XML” on the “Format” drop-down menu.
6. Click the “Save” button to export your playlist as an XML file.
7. Click “File” on the main iTunes menu, hover your mouse over “Library” and click “Import Playlist.”
8. Navigate to the location where you saved the XML file exported from your iPhone. Double-click the file to copy your playlist into iTunes.
